Strange that the interview is in the afternoon. I'd wait to get the letter before getting to excited. Did it say the letter was mailed out. When I phoned the gave the date the letter was mailed. Then I phoned again and the lady said it was mailed but it was. The first time I phoned they gave me a bogus date for my interview. I'd wait and see if it's for real. Don't want to rain on your parade but sometime Montreal can not be so nice and tell you what you want to hear.

it wouldnt surprise me. Either way I will be more comfortable when packet 4 comes. It didn't say anything other than the interview date for our case was January 23rd at 2:30.

Yes, hearing about the actual interview date, arranging the medical etc. really gets exciting! Your employer is horrid to be jerking you around for time off for the medical. Sorry to hear that. Everything will be over before you know it! The Consulate interview for me, was the easiest but most stressful part.

Jersey, its great to be getting the details in motion but I think I'm starting to panic already. Work wouldnt give me time off to go for the medical as of yet, its scheduled for Jan 8th. The reality of the whole process is really sinking in now, and I'm horribly nervous about relying on someone who knows neither of us to decide that we can cross the border, get married, and start our lives together. I probably just need to relax, grab a drink, and bask in the glow of getting an interview date lol

Don't panic. Say your prayers! Regardless of how Montreal may be giving misinformation, God is protecting you. I've never heard of a 2:30 appointment. Our Package 4 says 8:15. It may be worth another phone call if your Package 4 has not arrived yet. Call: 514-398-9695 Press 4 (between 2:00 & 4:30 eastern time). The old option of pressing 6 Ext #3833 is apparently no longer valid.

Sorry your employer is being a nasty about the medical. But in the end, you'll win. You'll get everything done regardless and you'll be together, starting a new life before you know it. Have a sleep, a drink, and a deep breath, so you can get all the details right! Good luck!

I called and confirmed, January 23rd at 2:30. Will still feel more comfortable when I get the letter. The man was very nice and helpful. Was fearing getting the Montreal Mean Lady.

Sorry to throw this out, but, there's talk of a new routine in Montreal. They may not be giving visas the next day, and may be mailing them. We'll know 1st week of Jan. (I'm only hearing this 2nd hand.)

if my interview is indeed for 2:30, would appear that they are making quite a few changes. The extra wait on Canada Post would suck one of those wait and see things I guess, just like everything else in this process

Sooo.. i started to really want to know when our interview is (Package 3 submitted Oct 23). So I called today - they told me January 16th (I was so shocked I didn't remember what time). They said our Package 4 was being sent out today (that sounds sketch). Do I believe them? Do I DARE get my hopes up. This sucks.
