USEM Earliest K1-Visa Interview Appointment

Congrats to all my kababayan who already received their MNL case numbers and in the process of making appointments for K-1 interview in USEM!

I am hoping and praying so hard that in a week or two, our MNL will finally be given to us. I am just curious-to everyone who have already went and set their K-1 interview online, what was the earliest date that you found? I am wondering if there will still be an open spot for early or even mid-December. I am keeping my hopes up that we will together by the end of this year but as again, everything will happen in the right time.

We are also in the "pack" with you. Our NOA2 was approved 09/30.

I think there's going to be many people fighting for appointments as NVC works off the backlog

It seems that's happening. They appear to be near 09/23-27 but who knows it there are separate piles

for each country.

I am waiting until I have the NVC paper notice.

We will then do St Luke's and CFO as Phase 1

Then we will finish with the Interview a month later -- hopefully.

If you schedule too tight you can run into problems rescheduling and that may be more headaches

Also we are hitting the holiday season and USEM has a ton of off days so it difficult what will get done by Jan 01

This is just my opinion -- any other input?

Don't need to wait for the NVC letter to arrive. Once you get your MNL # it's all ROCK 'N' ROLL!

Just booked our interview today for Monday, November 18th. That is the earliest schedule available. Looks like slots are getting taken rather quickly. December is wide open as listed by @babygirl28. Hope you get your case # soon and still make it in time for Christmas. We can all hope!

Hi DandC! Just wanna ask if USEM already received your physical file? Cause i just called them and i was told they have not receive ours yet. But CEAC stat says Ready.

If NVC shipped your file the end of October and you schedule your interview for close to the end of November you will be fine. K.I.S.S.

Personally I never checked to see if the file was at the embassy, I scheduled the interview 4 weeks after the file shipped from NVC and all was fine.

Hi @babygirl28, we haven't contacted USEM. Is it really necessary to give them a call? We don't think we read that on Hanks guide which we have been following to a tee. But if we need to call, we will next week.

No you don't have to call USEM. If you schedule you interview about 4 weeks out from when your file ships from NVC that will allow plenty of time.

I am not sure what is with this obsession to call and check if the file has reached USEM from NVC. Don't rush things and that is not an issue.
