hi everyone today i recieved this email from embassy what is this email means .

As per our record, this case is being reviewed by consular officers. Subsequently,

as soon as the case is reviewed, we will make contact accordingly with an update.

Maybe the 'contact' will be an email asking you to come for fingerprints and an oath, they are doing alot of that nowadays, especially for ppl who have been stuck in long APs like you...

our visa interview was in september 2010. than there were few objections which were removed in june 2011. my wife and kids got visa on ist july 2013 and they landed in fl, usa on september 22nd, whereas my visa on hold due to AP. how long i have to wait or should i call my family back to pakistan to stop this misery at both ends.

We all feel your pain. All of us are suffering under AP. Some of us have been in AP many years. It is a good thing that your wife and kids have their visas and are in the United States. Do not call your family back. They have only been in the USA for 3 months.

Give the embassy more time to finish your case. I do not believe they would have given the visas to your wife and kids if they were not planning to give you one too.

Congratulations on the movement in your case but I would advice you to refrain from celebrating just yet... Islamabad embassy loves taking its time in reviewing documents, maybe it takes a few days or a few months! who knows...

Truth be told no one knows how long APs may take, Parents applying for the same visa at the same time will be separated for years cause the mother may get it there and then and the father after a long wait in AP. So its really up to you, cause the embassy aint gonna care that your family is here or there. The visa will come when all the checks are done and they are fully satisfied...
