You should get a letter from the NVC, as will your fiance. The USEM should as well, but you don't need to wait around for these things. You can start rolling with the MNL# and the email notification from NVC.

I see thanks.Do we really need the NVC email before we can book appointment for interview and medical / pay visa and medical.I read somewhere before that you can start as long as you got your MNL#.

Do you know if how long we will need to wait for the email notification from NVC?It has been more than 2 weeks since our case was sent to manila USEM but we never get any mail or email till now.

you can go ahead with the MNL # to book your interview online. Just take a look at Hank's spiffy post on all the How-to's to get a visa. Take the email with you to your medical...that should keep them happy. Good luck!! You're on the fast track now!!!

St. Luke's usually wants some kind of confirmation that shows your MNL#. In the past, the email from NVC satisfies them in this regard. You can speed it up by emailing them asking for the MNL#, which they will reply.

I sent them an email 7 days ago but didn't get any reply except that auto response mail right after you send an email.I'm sure it was all correct the confirmation I sent them. Is it unusual?

I only got the mnl# through phone call by my fiance but no anything else than that.

Okay if you sent them a request email after they got the MNL# and they still haven't replied then all you can do is wait. I guess they take longer now to reply to emails now as they take longer to get and send the casefile. The whole process used to take no longer than a week, now it takes two months from what I hear.

Yeah it wasnt this long before and it doesn't sound good to me if it takes as long as the file transfer' cause our petition will expire this december and we want to be together in the US so we can celebrate Xmas, New year and my 22nd birthday :( it's gonna blow up our plans.crying.gifprotest6wz.gif

I've read from other thread that you can go to CEAC website and when status says "In Transit" you can print it. SLEC will accept that. So, you really don't need to wait for NVC reply... research more and probably you are good to go into the next steps of your K1 journey...

Congrats for the MNL# and best of luck to the rest of your journey...

Thanks yeah I know this site.I'll check that ceac site and do more research not sure if that worked for everyone without the NVC email so I might just have to really wait for it.
