Hi, I could really use some advise here,

In June I had an interview for my 751, it went well and within a week I recieved a letter from USCIS that the application was approved and my temporary status was removed and that I would be getting me perminent green card within 3-6 months, but then yesterday, nearly 2 months after the approval I receieved the same interview letter again, asking me come in for a 751 interview to have the conditional removed, that is the interview we went to 2 months ago and had it approved. when I called the USCIS customer service and spoke to a level 2 support person, she said that she is not seeing anywhere that my application was approved...and that I should still go to the interview.. this is crazy.. anyone else had this issue? any advise?

thanks

joe somebody

You can try and send a copy of the approval letter, but then again I wouldn't know when they will be able to process it. I would send one anyway and see if they can process it before the interview date, if not I'd just bring the approval letter and just show it to them you might just get an instant approval and ask for an i551 stamp that way you have a guarantee.

Maybe an InfoPass appointment will help? Did you compare all the formal notices from USCIS to make sure there is nothing different between each other? It could be a computer glitch, clerical error etc.

Good luck!

ROC Journey:

4/24/13 - Submitted I-751 application

4/26/13 - I-751 officially filed

6/11/13 - Biometrics done

8/14/13 - Rec'd RFE

9/21/13 - Submitted RFE response

9/23/13 - RFE response rec'd at VSC

(about 2 months later)

11/21/13 - Service request via Tier 1 submitted

12/11/13 - Response to service request rec'd - vague info about processing times

12/12/13 - Service request via Tier 2 submitted

12/10/13 - APPROVED!!! (letter rec'd 12/14/13)

12/16/13 - 2nd Service request response rec'd

12/17/13 - Card production email/text rec'd (online case updated)!

12/24/13 - Notification rec'd via email regarding card mailed on 12/23/13 (online case updated as well)

12/26/13 - 10-yr card rec'd!

One thing I have learned on this journey:

There is no such thing as an "overkill" evidence package. Submit anything and everything you can. Who knows what will prevent you from getting an RFE.

I have been trying to get an info pass appoinment, but it keeps saying that there are no appointments available, i am figuring that the gov. shut down put this office too far behind.

I did compare the notices and they are identical, well except fromthe interview date and the signatures in the buttom, this was was signed by someone who has a titlte abbrev. of "ISC" not sure what that is.

Maybe try calling USCIS again and get a different person to help you and keep trying with the Infopass appt. I read some people had to persist before they manage to get something.

Good luck.
