It's probably too early for me to be nervous about our case... but I'm noticing many of the members on here who recieved their NOA1 at the beginning of October are already getting their NOA2. Still waiting on ours and hoping I didn't mess anything up. I keep trying to convince myself that there is no rhyme or reason to anything CSC does with the cases but I can't help but worry a little. Sigh* hopefully we hear something soon. Haha anyways I was feeling a little discouraged so I thought I'd get on here and whine to no one in particular. If you read this thanks and God bless. :)

Truly, there is very little rhyme or reason as to anything the CSC does. It's an informational black hole. I will say though, that any NOA2 sooner than 2 months is considered very fast.

I went through CSC a year and a half ago and, being a statistics nerd, I attempted to make a statistical spreadsheet analysis of the past three years. The only conclusion I could come to was that their work loads seem to be smaller in the spring, and slightly higher in the fall. And that the average timeframe for both I-130 and I-129f petitions was about 4.5 months.. Over three years. Actual timeframes varied from less than a month (for DCF) to 8 months (for petitons filed during huge backlogs.

Currently, I-129f petitions seem to be processed much faster than I-130s though.

The one piece of good news I can give is that no matter how much of a statistical crapshoot this seems like, petitions are processed, and yours will be too!

The best thing you can do is wait and not worry about it until it gets to a length of time you can start assuming something isn't right.

There is no rhyme or reason to any of it, at any step of the journey.

Haha thanks guys. If it weren't our fiancés waiting for us it would be almost comical seeing how inefficient and inept our government can be sometimes. Oh well... Plodding on.

Most other western countries with high immigration have it the same way. Backlogs. Reason is a country's immigration service is always going to be short staffed. The USCIS is a government agency that very few American taxpayers ever have to deal with, so to "overfund it" wouldn't be fair to American taxpayers.
