Hi all, I finally called NVC today since they haven't replied my email for more than a week. He told me that my case has arrived at NVC, but has not been assigned a case number yet, told me to call back in a week. We got our approved on 9/27, so I just want to keep everyone updated, if your case got approved around mine, then it's most likely at NVC now.

Its been over 4 weeks since my I 129f approval from USCIS but called NVC twice still has not received the case. Here this morning I received email from NVC inquiry regards on my case

Dear Sir/Madam:

Thank you for your inquiry. The National Visa Center has not received

your petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

Please scan and email your I-797 or I-171 Notice of Action to

nvcresearch@state.gov. Type the receipt number in the subject line of

your email. We will contact USCIS on your behalf to find your petition.

If your I-797 or I-171 Notice of Action does not indicate USCIS approved

your petition and sent it to the Department of State, please contact

USCIS for a status update.

Thanks

Regards,

Edward Tio

Like other poster said, there are a lot posts here talking about how slow CSC sent petition to NVC. Mine was processing at TSC and they were pretty quick sent it. I've got my case number a week after my fiance got NOA-2 hardcopy by mail. Which number did you call?

Mine and edictio were both processed by CSC. Although mine was approved faster than anyone from TSC, TSC sends approved cases way faster to NVC than CSC does. I even noticed from the timeline that there are October NOA2s already are in NVC and had issued case numbers. I am glad that CSC is now moving and hoping that ours will get there in a week or two.

As for me, I had tried calling DOS and NVC but they were telling me that they haven't gotten my petition and that was as of last Friday. Do you know any other number to call?

Unfortunately, I only knew Dos and NVC numbers. But I had better luck calling DoS rather than NVC. People at DoS did not put me on hold meanwhile at NVC I had to wait about 30 minutes before give an answer less than a minute.

I'm wondering how long it takes NVC to reply your email. I emailed them on 24th, and have not received a word yet.

it varies,

I have emailed them many times, the longest one was

20 days,

18 days,

15 days,

and 7 days for case that has been reviewed and getting RFE, like aos info is wrong need new revised one, or missing documents, then only takes 7 days for them to reply and acknowledge your email and nvc reporting back that they got your documents.

Yeah, DOS answers their call quicker than NVC. I will give it another try next week. Thanks and hope the rest of your journey will run smoothly now...

Hi it took 6weeks for us to get a case number, we never heard from USCIS or NVC about our case, no email no text no nothing after our approval. But my fiancé kept on calling NVC. 3days ago I called NVC and I got our case number.. today my fiancé received the letter from NVC.

Hang in there you'll get yours soon. :)

Kept telling myself myself to hold off the inquiry about my case from DOS/NVC until next week. But as soon as I woke up this morning, I couldn't help it and still called both DOS/NVC. OF course, it wasn't really the time yet so, got an answer that they haven't receive it yet because it takes 8 weeks from the approval. I KNOW!.. hehe.. It doesn't hurt to try. Now, I can just enjoy the day and look forward to better weeks ahead..

Will keep everyone posted!

Does NVC really know what they are doing? This was their response on my inquiry the other day. My NOA2 was dated Oct 3. I just better wait for 2 more weeks because it seems that their contractors don't know what to tell when they don't have the file yet in their system... well, at least they got the time to read and answer my email..

Dear Sir/Madam:

Lol. I was accidentaly calling them. One of VJers here told me to call DoS since we had same timeline and already got her case number. She said, better to give a try. The reason why she said like that because I told her will wait up 6-8 weeks and start make a call.

I was just curious and voila, after asked my receipt number, petitioner (name and DoB), beneficiary (name and DoB) and the name who was making a call, the lady on the phone said," Ma'am, do you have pen and paper now?" and then I knew she would give me my case number, ha ha ha.

I am completely agree with you. Enjoy the day and process because we never knew what surprise will come in the next day.

See the replied I got from them??? So surprising, right?! LOL... This is quiet an enjoyable ride of our journey... I used to fuss and fret before but now, my fiance and I take one day at a time and enjoy every moment of our journey. My fiance and I realized to let go and wait for the right moment. This community helped me a lot.. I enjoyed reading every experiences and inspired by many who waited and persevered. I love reading success stories and sometimes I would even cry when someone posted that they are finally together.. I dream that one day it will be US and I believe that it is going to happen no matter what...

Btw, thanks for your responses.. I feel like talking to a friend.. :-)

California puts approved cases together until they send a batch to NVC I swear they give bonus money to the slowest shipper. So depending if your case just missed the last boat or is the last one in the box before it ships can make about a month in the time it takes to get there

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
