It's been 4 months since NoA2 and it has expired. I have not scheduled my interview with consulate yet. What can i do? I know i can request an extension but how do i go about it? will my consulate care that its been 4 months since it was issued? have i lost all hope?

As far as I know, you have up to a year after NoA2 to gather your documents and complete the interview, but i don't know if it really has any meaning that it expired.

Please advice, Thanks.

Have you tried to emailed/called to consulate and let them know that you're pursuing your K-1 visa?

Thanks for the quick reply.

I had an issue where neither of us got package 3, so we never received anything from consulate. I recently figured out how to get my consulate case number from NVC. I'm on the process of contacting consulate to inquire about this, but im afraid the expiration of i-129f is a whole new problem for us and want to know how people have dealt with this before.

I guess you need some VJers here to shed some lights for you. Maybe this info will give you a better idea about the embassy. Good luck!

It's actually US embassy info on VJ. If you don't my asking, when you finally decided to get your case number at NVC? I am asking you because many people here after approval they started calling NVC to get their case number. I've got mine a week after my fiance received NOA-2 by mail.

I had a similar issue to you, I was worried my petition was going to expire before my interview date. I called my embassy and was told I would need my fiancee to write a letter to the embassy stating she still intends to marry me within 90 days of me arriving in the USA. That was what I had explained to me so hopefully that is helpful to you.

Please advice, Thanks.

Contact the embassy to make sure they have extended your petition, if they haven't ask them to. The embassy can extend a petition up to a year, four months at a time.

My I-129f expires tonight, I'm just waiting for the London embassy to schedule my interview. I've contacted them raising my concerns, regarding my I-129f expiration. No reply as of yet, I'm just hoping I don't have to start this all over again. I know they can extend it, I had everything submitted and medical completed before the expiration so hopefully it shouldnt be a problem. Fingers crossed.

You do not have to start all over again, but London has its own requirement for extending the I-129F petition. See this other recent post about it > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/465535-priority-date/

In the case of London your fiancee must write a notorised letter to the embassy stating she/ he still intends to marry you within 90 of your arrival into the USA.
