Yes, I see that-- I'm just curious as why she's trying to expedite both the EAD and I-765. I hadn't heard of people doing that before.

The EAD card is the result of the I-765 processing. They are both the same thing. So saying that I'm trying to expedite the EAD processing or the I-765 processing is like saying the same thing.

Wow, you received your interview letter very soon! It shows we both filed on the same day, but all I got was an email on December 12 saying that my I-485 application changed to "Testing and Review"

Yeah it was really fast from what I see of other timelines, maybe the immigration office I am getting my interview at scheduled it as soon as I was moved to testing and interview because I received the date 3 days after being moved to testing and interview.

Good luck to all November filers on your visa journey's.

i did the same as you and I really was going to nyc during the period of fingerprints so i told them that its holiday season and Im travelling to another state. Thankfully they didnt ask for evidence (what evidence ca i give them anyway except my words). I felt like a high school student being blamed by the teacher. The bimetrics woman gave me a lesson lol but then she accepted to do for me. I was extremely nice and I showed her a cute sad puppy face. It works with some offices and not others. Just be patient and go on your appointment day. :) Good luck

This happened to me in Austin. I think it depends on the person you get on the day, because when I went back on my appointment date they were a much friendlier bunch. I'd suggest going back and trying again if there is a different person at the desk, or go on your scheduled day.

is it possible to have RFE after the status change to Testing and Interview??

Yes from what I have been reading so far in other people's story, there is a chance to receive an RFE letter anytime until you actually get approved for your green card. It truly sucks big time to receive one of those nasty letters.

Since we are talking about postponements/issues with timing, my question is: Are these Christmas holidays going to slow down the process of issuing new work authorization cards and the adjustment of status interview appointments?
