Hi - my wife & I just got my biometrics appointment letter yesterday. The appointment is scheduled for early December, but I'm going to try and do a walk-in tomorrow morning. It seems as though nobody's had any problems with that, so fingers crossed it all goes well! I'll let you know how it goes, though.

OK, so I had my biometrics done this morning as a walk-in at the Alexandria, VA office. It wasn't quite as quick as other peoples - I was there for an hour, but the fingerprints and photo takes only 5-10 minutes. My advice would be to get there early: I arrived at 9.08am, and there were a lot of people there already.

As far as the walk-in was concerned, it wasn't a problem at all. In fact, I'm not even sure if security even bothered to check it! But it's great to get that out of the way early, and on to the next step!

November filier here. We filed our i130 & i485 from NYC to chicago lockbox on 11/15/13 via usps express overnight mail. Packet was received on 11/16/13, which was a Saturday. Hopefully we get our NOA1by the end of the week. We are so excited to start our Visa Journey! !!

We received our text and email notifications today. It said that our case was forwarded to the National Benefits Center. I read up and they said they usually do this (transfer to NBC, NSC, etc) coz the local offices are backlogged. Not sure though!

It is fine to fly domestically without a VWP as he just needs an ID and will not be going through immigration like he would on an international flight. VWP is used to enter the US not to fly while in the US, he has already been admitted.

What did the exact language state?

It just said our case was being forwarded to the Nebraska Service Center. This was our NOA1 email. I suppose this will be where it is all handled until NOA2? I have just read that this service center is slow to process. I'm not entirely sure though.
