Did you turn on the text and email notification?

That's strange...did you set an account at uscis.gov and made sure that notifications were on?

I receive text and email only on first time when they receive my package, i didn't do anything after that.

The statistics shown online do not make any sense to me. My local office shows that the last case they worked on as of 19th of december is a case from April 2013. I was thinking that my interview will be in april 2014 ( after seeing that) but a few days ago I received a text saying my interview will be in february 10th

Hi guys,

I would like to know what are the procedures of travelling after getting a green card? If God wills and everything goes fine Im planning to travel a few weeks after getting the green card? Is there anything I need to do before traveling (paper wise ?)

Also can I "request" a stamp on my passport and travel or its up to the officer to stamp my passport if the green card is issued. I want to travel home and see my family before starting my new life as a resident of the USA and looking for a job.

I believe that once you are a green card holder, you can leave and reentry with just the green card, Unless you are going to leave US more than 6 month a trip. then you might have to apply for re-entry permit make sure you can come back in. just visiting home for few weeks should not be a problem.

Great news today, I got the email/text that my EAD card has gone to Card/Doc Production. This was quite welcome news for us as my H1B expires on Feb 1st and although I have my interview date on 1/28 its good to know that the EAD is going to be produced as my Drivers License expires on Saturday so as soon as I get the EAD I'm renewing my DL. That's cool! I received my EAD card last Monday but I had to stay off from work for almost one month while waiting for my card to be delivered.

As soon as I received my card last Monday I also went to the driver's licence office and they did not renew my license because my status has not been updated yet in their system....

I am going to go back to the driver's license office next Monday to see if after a week they will finally find me in the system. They got me worried.

Hugs from Texas.

You will need a passport to enter another country, but when returning to the US all you need is your greencard.

You have to go to the website and create an account, then add your case numbers. It will also give you options to turn on text and email notifications.

Thank you for the heads up. I assumed that the paperwork we filed for electronic notifications would carry over and not be just for the receipt of the package. I checked today and my wife's I-485 switched to "Testing and Interview" yesterday! Still no movement on the I-130 or I-765 yet despite our walk-in Biometric appointment. Oh well. The waiting game begins now.
