Hi all,

I've just mailed our entire packet (I-131 and I-485) this morning- it should arrive to Chicago by noon tomorrow.

....Now begins an exercise in patience! (And lots of wine, I'm guessing. wink.png )

I did too, mailed it on Thursday, delivered by UPS on Friday 8:30 AM to the Chicago Lockbox, did either of you sign up for the email/text notification? Based on what I've seen of other people's timeline it looks like 2-3 business days before they send an email and then two days after to get the NOA1. Good luck to all the November filers!!

Hi Uniquegurl,

The payment for the I-485 covers the cost of the I-765 and the I-131. We sent in two checks, one for the I-130 and I-485. $420 for the I-130 and $1,070 for the I-485. Also see http://www.uscis.gov/i-485

Please note that, if you file Form I-485 to adjust your status as a permanent resident on or after July 30, 2007, no additional fee is required to also file an application for employment authorization on Form I-765 and/or advance parole on Form I-131. You may file these forms together. If you choose to file the I-765 and/or I-131 separately after July 30, 2007, you must also submit a copy of your I-797C, Notice of Action, receipt as evidence of the filing of an I-485. If you filed your Form I-485 prior to July 30, 2007, you must pay the fees associated with Forms I-765 and/or I-131 when you file.
