We were just approved on Nov 29th. Have not received our NAO2 yet. But my question is when should I have my husband get his police Cert. He said they are only valid for 30-45 days??

Canadian police certificates are valid for 1 year in Montreal.

I had an amusing interaction today with the NVC helpline. Our NOA2 was November 25th so I thought I'd try to check whether NVC had received the case.

The operator said no, and that it would take up to 8 weeks for NVC to receive the case from USCIS, another 20 days for them to scan in the file, and another 2 weeks to start processing. In other words, 3 months before any action is taken on our case.

Looks like I'll be calling my congressman again ...

Don't panic. That's their standard reply.

AOS and IV package are in NVC, according to DHL tracking.

So I don't have to send anything else I guess.

Saylin or any Indian who filled earlier i-864,

My beneficiary is in india, So in I-864 form Part2. "Information on Principal Immigrant" under Mailing Address. Do we have to write India's zipcode in zipcode field or postalcode field of i-864 ?

And for State details where do we have to put in state field or province field?

And do we have to put "N/A" in state field, if we put state details in province field or vice-versa?

Thank you for all help.

Yep you right! I was writing in hard copy that's reason i didn't get it.

Thank you scienceworks!

Are you filling it in a PC? Choose Country India from Drop Down menu. Then state and zipcode are untouchables. only postal code and province are accessible

Hey guys!

Need help. I submitted the AOS package and IV package as soon as the barcode sheet was available to me. So I basically submitted both the packages to NVC on different dates. Today, I received a following checklist.

"The NVC has received information on the referenced case. However, we are still waiting for the Immigrant Visa Application, the Affidavit of Support form (I-864) and/or the related fees. Please submit the forms and/or fees according to the instructions."
This looked like a false RFE to me, as suggested by other VJers. So I called the NVC and spoke with the operator. She told me first that it's a false RFE since they haven't reviewed my other packages. Then she went on saying that I submitted the wrong version of I-864. I asked her what version of I-864 she can see in the system. But she didn't have any clue. I told her that I didn't use the I-864EZ version and used the latest version of I-864 from the USCIS website (available on the following link).
She asked me to submit the AOS package all over again. I asked her to place an inquiry as I used the latest version of I-864 (OMB # 1615-0075/Expiry 03/31/2015), but she said she cannot do that and I have to submit the whole AOS package again. Does any body have that issue ? She doesn't make sense at all.
Thanks

It sounds like a false checklist to me. Don't send the AOS package again. I'd suggest calling NVC and asking again. The operator you got didn't sound at all like she knew what she was talking about.
