Why haven't you submitted your AOS package? It's not depedent on your DS-260. You pay AOS than send in package.

Hi guys, I am an April filer still waiting for my Noa2, but just confused about something. So my husband lives in Kuwait and is working there, we got married in Bangladesh and his nationality is Bangladeshi. Which consulate would the NVC send my case to? The one in Kuwait or in Bangladesh? Thanks.

I'm going to assume Kuwait, as it's typically where the beneficiary is living. Place of marriage doesn't affect where the interview takes place. You'll find out for sure though once the case number is assigned as the first three characters of the case number is the three-letter consulate/embassy code.

dwheels76, its our lawyer who is slowing our NVC process. We submitted DS-260 November 21 and yesterday I sent them email what will I do with my PCC and 2x2 picture. That's the only time they told me to send it to their office. They have all our original documents. I always have to send them email for inquiries instead of sending us email to inform we need to send them this and that. Wish we could have a refund of our money if we continue NVC process on our own and dump them.

Nov. 6 - we received FEE bill for both AOS & IV

Nov. 8 - IV & AOS Fee payment status showing IN PROCESS

Nov. 12- IV & AOS Fee payment status showing PAID

DS 260 got available online and DS 261 after it showed PAID

When is he planning on moving exactly? If he can move before the NVC process starts, you may have a good chance then of having it scheduled in Bangladesh. If he moves before the I-130 petition is approved, then contact USCIS as soon as he's moved back and update them on the address change. Then, when the case makes it to NVC, make sure you confirm with someone that they have the correct address on file. Hopefully, that way, the case number will be issued correctly. If it's not, you'll have to contact someone at NVC, likely with proof of his residence in Bangladesh and request that the case number be changed.

When I try to fill the DS-261 choice of agent, I get this message "Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error..

Does this mean I have to wait for the DS-261 to be ready to be filled.

Yes. It takes a few days to be able to log into the online forms portal and complete the DS-261. Just keep checking.

I called NVC and I got a completely bewildered agent asking me how you could fill it before we send it. I realized it was better to say Happy Thanksgiving and hang up.
