quick question guys,

does NVC notify you of DS-260 approval? If so, how do they do it? Email...update on website ?

no such thing as 'approval' at NVC.

However, when the DS-260 is added to the casefile, you may or may not get some email notification about it, 10 days to 20 days after it's added. Usually, by that time, the review has finished anyway and the casefile is tagged 'complete' at NVC.

IMO, if you want to know which day the status changed on the casefile, well, you're gonna have to use a telephone, and ask a human. I prefer calling in the evening times after 8:30 PM EST.

Go Get Em, and Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I did the same exact thing. Called them everyday before going bed however tonight they finally gave me a case number. Woohoo. But now what? I have a case number but can I pay my bills and start the process now? Or do I have to wait for them to generate my two bills before I start? Do tell. My wife is pretty much done with her DS-260 preparation. All she needs now is the police report which should be done tomorrow. For those that filed their paperwork already, how do you submit all the paperwork with the DS-260. Can she just scan them and email it in or does she need to mail it out via USPS? I understand my process for the AOS, I am just hazy on the DS-260 since DS-230 is no longer valid as of September.

Any help or tips will be much appreciated.

TIA VJ team!!!!

Ds-260 is online, right so I assume one of you can fill it and submit online. I didn't understand the question about scanning

You can pay bills once there are available, and then you can submit your paperwork i.e AOS and IV Packet. However you won't be able to submitt the DS260 unti the IV fee is showing paid.

Hello,

We are in the exact same position as you: NVC received files on 11/8, and 2 days ago we got our case number and INN. Sign in works then there is nothing to select or pay... I believe that is because our case is being entered into the system... so check it a few times per day.

Also we too have a joint-sponsor! So any more info about the N/A is welcomed.... We will be ready to submit the package as soon as our bill is PAID. SO I could quickly write N/A on my 864 as well as our joint-sponsors 864 before we send them off.

Guys do not put N/A on everything... This is not correct.. Some parts needs to remain blank.. Things which are not required in your case please see instructions asked some one.. But do not put N/A blindly on everything which is not for you.. N/A is only qualify for some portions.. Read instructions.. Take guide ness better to ask NVC representers..

Sometime it takes a couple of days before IV fee is available.
