NVC Filers - November 2013

Guys how long does it take the USCIS to actually mail the case over to the NVC? I still have this status when I check the case online:

On November 13, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

That status will say that forever. You are done at USCIS. You need to be calling NVC. Please read post #1 and #2 so you know whats happening and what is next. It can take up to 8 weeks to get to NVC.

It does updates and tells you you have been approved and petition being sent to NVC. They don't update with when they send it. You have to keep calling NVC to keep on top of when. USCIS will say they send it they nmay or may not have. But no they do not update the status saying we sent on this day to NVC.

Unless this is a new thing just started this last few days. Never have seen that posted.

My case completed on 11-13-2013 and also got email from NVC saying its Completed..now waiting for NVC to send my file to India...does anyone know how long does it take to schedule interview..?

Your petition will not be sent to India until you receive an interview date. The December window for India is closed but January should start up end of this month. So depending where you are in queue who knows.

Mine did mention the date. on nov 4 it said it is approved and they sending it. on the next day it did update for me and said they shipped it. it could be a new thing or could also depend on a service center who approved it. i am guessing.

Could you please tell us what the actual status says on the USCIS website? Copy and paste it. Or was it something like below:

Call NVC when they ask for case number, you say USCIS receipt number and then they can tell if they received the file

last time I checked, if different means IF DIFFERENT. Goodness.

So one should write N/A if the address is same?

Oh Noooo...I know I left it blank too. Should I just make the correction and mail it out????

Hi Guys! So excited because finallyyyy after 11 months our i130 was approved. We had to submit 2 RFE's and our case had been reassigned once (to our knowledge) but now, hopefully things are on the right track. It's been a lot of tears but God willing that will soon be a distant memory. Anyway, I just found out today that it was approved so I'm excited to join Nov 13 NVC filers!! Good luck

Congratulations and welcome :-) Just read read and read some more, make sure you have everything you need. If possible, have your partner start now on the police report plus other documents and mail it to you ASAP. That will help you speed up the process. Oh also please read the checklist everyone is receiving for the AOS, it could save you some time. I may get a checklist from what I see but hopefully you will do better. Good luck to all of us.

I maintain the case complete interview list and stay on top of all happenings if I can. The December interviews started October 28th and ended November 7th. Someone called for India and they said they are done.

Yes calling NVC they can tell you if a embassy is fiull for the coming month.

Most of the embassies when they schedule they are done. Some of the less frequent ones they get assigned soon as a Case Complete like a Iceland and other smaller places with lesss Visa traffic.

Take a look see at December thread. We started this Case Complete Interview thread September 2012. It's hamdy so when people ask what is the waiting timer from case complete to interview you now have a place to go and see.

Its on the printed barcoded coversheet you should be sending with your packages. One for each package.

this is what it said. after this everything you will know by calling nvc directly.
