So how will I know when NVC receives it?

You call them up and ask.

Yeah I figure that much. Did you pay yours online?? If so did you pay for both the AOS and IV together or separately? Thanks

Yup, you can pay the bills online. You typically pay them separately, unless you have a lawyer, in which they're invoiced together.

Yeah I read post 1 and 2. Very informative thank you for putting that together. I sent the I-864ez as a precaution but really I jumped the gun lol. Another question in case you know, I can only get the transcript from my recent year. I cant get the tax transcript from 2011 and 2010 because I was still married to my ex so I had to file with her through her tax lady (of course she made sure my social was not the primary). does it matter? I have my W2 since 2008 from the same job and I am active duty in the military would that be sufficient or no ?

Thanks

Tax information is only required of the most recent year, so you're fine with NVC. You will need the amounts though for 2010 and 2011 to fill out on the form.

You have to pay them separately, AOS fee $88 IV fee $230

Not necessarily. If you have a lawyer, then the two bills come at the same time.

Hi all,

Just called NVC. We got a case complete! It happened yesterday. So far no interview date has been fixed. The rep said they will email us when interview is scheduled. How long do you think will we have to wait?

Excited! smile.png

For current income, write his current income. And you don't need to fill out the 'unemployed since' date since he's not unemployed anymore. You check either 1, 2, 3, or 4 (and fill out that question's information). Not a combination of some.

Yes, definitely include an explanation as to why 2012 taxes were not filed. I'd suggest including this in both the cover letter as well as a separate letter behind the form. You'd still have to fill in the years on 13, and then put 0.00 for all three years.

thanx a lottt saylin!! also i have one last question! that since my brother in law is the joint sponsor, so he has filed his taxes.. now for 13.a.1 we will write his total gross income as mentioned in the tax return. and for the current employment and current income.. do we have to calculate his income from his paystubs? or write what's mentioned in his employment letter? or write the income in the 2012 tax return... because the income in 2012 tax written and his current annual income as mentioned on job letter have changed!
