I think it's preferred that you send it again (from what I read in the forum). For eg. One send the marriage certificate for i-130, but you have to send it again to NVC. Cross talking is not a hallmark of govt agencies. I wonder what is the meaning of reduction in Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980

You might have to resubmit the paperwork again along with the original documents (i.e birth, and marriage certificates). But until you get a case number from NVC there not much you can do until then. But once you paid your AOS or IV fee, you can send all documents in together to save some time. You will not be able to fill out your IV application until your IV fee show paid. So keep that in mind.

NVC is the next process. Go back to posts 1 and 2 and read up!

Hi guys,

First I want to state that I got my NOA-2 last Friday after I expedited it through USCIS due to an upcoming deployment. The crazy part was that I requested an expedite on Monday, received an email asking for my mil id on Wednesday and got approved last Friday. I hounded USCIS on Tuesday and they told me my file left from CSC to NVC that same day on a truck or something. As of last night NVC still does not have my file so I will give another week before I call.

Second, I have a quick question for anyone that might know. Has anyone use the I-864EZ before? I am the sole sponsor and my wife is the only one I am sponsoring so I qualify. I have also submit that form with my package to USCIS when I file for the I-130. Do I have to resubmit? Or does my package stay intact and I just wait to pay the bill.

Thanks

Yes, many people have used the I-864EZ. It sounds like you qualify, so I suggest using it as it's a much shorter version than the I-864. You weren't supposed to send it with the I-130 petition though. You send it at NVC. So even though you sent it, you'll need to send it again, properly this time.

I suggest reading posts 1 and 2 to familiarize yourself with the NVC process while waiting for your case to arrive at NVC and for a case number to be issued.

I just got a status update from USCIS that my case was shipped or re-affirmed to the department of state for visa processing, what does this mean? is this different from NVC or the same?

Yeah I figure that much. Did you pay yours online?? If so did you pay for both the AOS and IV together or separately? Thanks

Yeah I read post 1 and 2. Very informative thank you for putting that together. I sent the I-864ez as a precaution but really I jumped the gun lol. Another question in case you know, I can only get the transcript from my recent year. I cant get the tax transcript from 2011 and 2010 because I was still married to my ex so I had to file with her through her tax lady (of course she made sure my social was not the primary). does it matter? I have my W2 since 2008 from the same job and I am active duty in the military would that be sufficient or no ?

Thanks
