Ok I finally read everything.. Couple quick questions..

1. Documents.. Do they need to be apostle? Do they need to be issued in past 90 days? (Sorry if I missed this somewhere in the posts)

2. Do I need to read Oct and Sept NVC threads to get caught up?

Answers:

yes They updated my staus on the 15th of november we have shipped your approved case to the department of state. Please contact them directly for more information

so they will actually update my status on the USCIS website, stating something like..."we have mailed your visa to the NVC.."

On the letter I got (I-797), it says your petition has been mailed to NVC

Just spoke to a rep from NVC trying to get my case number / IIN / BIN.

He stated that I needed to wait at least 8 weeks for them to receive / have that information.

my approval notice was October 29th, 2013.

Pretty sure it won't take 8 weeks, I have heard about a month or so but was wondering. . .

Is anyone else having to wait 8 weeks for a case number? Just curious if they are getting behind or that he just told me 8 weeks as a safety net type of deal.

Hey all,

This is my checklist and if you see the first paragraph it says they have received the requested DS230. We never sent them the 230! Is this a mistake?

Also this is the 2nd checklist we got, the 1st one had a blank in the I864 and we have already submitted that 3 weeks ago but they still say they haven't received it. Weird.

Hopefully this is the last checklist!

You did not submit the original birth and marriage certificate ? NVC became so scary now.. Usually if they don't found out they told you to bring at the interview.

Hi Guys! So excited because finallyyyy after 11 months our i130 was approved. We had to submit 2 RFE's and our case had been reassigned once (to our knowledge) but now, hopefully things are on the right track. It's been a lot of tears but God willing that will soon be a distant memory. Anyway, I just found out today that it was approved so I'm excited to join Nov 13 NVC filers!! Good luck heart.gif

Congrats 4ourFuture! It will be a memory. But, just be prepared for a few months in NVC. We got approval on 9/24 and still waiting for them to review our NVC docs and give us a case complete. Not trying to be negative, but give you a realistic timeframe so you know what to expect. We hoped for an interview in December, but that's even looking unlikely. So, expect 4 months before your case gets approved/an interview is scheduled. That seems to be what we're really looking at. Good luck! Hope it's faster for you. It's frustrating me.

My update.... even though NVC got my AOS packet on 10/31, they say that they got one package on 11/4. That's just not cool, but it is what it is. So, they told me again today, that it's taking up to 30 BUSINESS days for review. Pretty uncool. My IV package is dated 11/8 even though it arrived on 11/4. So...they'll be reviewed by mid-December at this rate.

On the plus side, hubby was allowed entry into the US today. He's nowhere near me (business trip.) But, he got NO questions asked. Just thought I'd share that incase any of you are planning to have spouses travel to the US over the holidays. :)

APPROVED 2/13/2014! dancin5hr.gif Day before heart.gif day. rose.gif

Did you send in the original Birth/Marriage Certificate ( in Nepali)?. If you did then most likely this is a false checklist. But call to make sure.

From what I've read here in the forums, a checklist is generated when they are reviewing or have reviewed your AOS. Lets hope it isn't an actual checklist.

Good Luck.

Good Luck.

Unfortunately, it is an actual checklist. I wasn't too thorough with my preparations so instead of sending in originals of marriage and birth certificate, I sent in notarized certified copies, thus triggering the checklist.

This is our second checklist. Sucks :(

Guys how long does it take the USCIS to actually mail the case over to the NVC? I still have this status when I check the case online:

On November 13, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
