I called the FBI customer service this morning and they told me that they received my my fingerprints on 8/15/06 (day I did the Biometrics at the ASC) and they were processed and returned to the USCIS within 24 hours. Is this there standard response. I have had my interview 12/06/06 and I am still waiting for name check to clear. I know its been a short while but I am very anxious.

The FBI fingerprint check is separate from the FBI namecheck. The fingerprints do get processed and returned fairly quickly in most cases. The namecheck, unfortunately, can involve a lot of manual searching, which can take longer.

Best wishes that you'll be done with it soon!

Conditions Removed! Ten-year green card received 6/24/2009. No more USCIS for a very long time.

shermike - please relax and be patient! statistics show us most are approved in 2 months or so, just take a look at our list, most fall off rather quickly (rather is subjective i suppose). Please know we are putting together a conference call to discuss possible actions we can involve ourselves in. I will let you know when we have the information together!

You have to give it 6 to 10 weeks - for us it took 8 weeks (we had biometrics done the same day as the AOS inrterview.) Relax ... and Good Luck
