GUYS CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT?

On October 30, 2013, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the requested information. This case will be in suspense until we receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once we receive the requested evidence or information and make a decision on the case, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

A request for evidence is made when an application/petition is lacking required documentation/evidence (initial evidence) or the officer needs more documentation/evidence (additional evidence) to determine an applicant's eligibility for the benefit sought. We may send you a request for evidence at any stage of our review. The request will indicate what evidence or information is needed for us to fully evaluate your application or petition. The notice will explain where to send the evidence and will give the deadline for your response. Your application or petition will be held in suspense during that time. If you receive a request for evidence and have questions about what you need to submit, you may call our National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results

listed above, or if you have not received a decision from USCIS within the current

processing time listed*, please contact USCIS Customer Service at (800) 375-5283.

*Current processing times can be found on the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov under Check Processing Times.

You will receive an RFE in the mail asking for specific items, etc. missing from your application. It could be as simple as failing to sign a form or more evidence but no need to panic. You are almost near the end of the wating journey. Good Luck!

You'll need Skype CreditFree via Skype

Something is missing from the file and they are requesting whatever is missing. Wait til you get the RFE letter in the mail (only the US citizen gets it) and see what they are asking. It's not a big deal, it'll just delay the process by a few more weeks.

Don't worry, it's nothing to cry over ;) They just need more evidence/information from you. Wait for the hard copy letter to come in the mail and it will tell you exactly what it is you/your fiance needs to provide. At the very least it's a sign that someone is looking at your case file. :)

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

Hey,

When my fiance and I were waiting for NOA2, we prayed that we would get something from USCIS, an RFE was very welcome at that time because. We knew that once we sent back the reply, there ws just about a month or so of waiting left. Its a good thing because it shows that someone is looking at your case. We didn't receive an RFE though, all went well. So don't worry, its a good thing.

Awh, no worries! This could be a blessing in disguise! We received our NOA2 about 1-week after we returned the info requested on our RFE!! goofy.gif May be more of a reason to cheer so long as the info requested is pretty straight forward and easy to send right back (i overnighted our requested info for super fast turn around! -- ha haa).

NO big deal. Simply reply with missing evidence. This only means a slight delay. This is NOT a denial. Sometimes one of the forms are missing from the packet or one is not signed.

Aw, don't be sad! I remember when I got an RFE i cried too, and it felt like the end of the world. But guess what? its usually something super simple and it doesn't mean anything negative about you or your case, just wait for the letter and follow its instructions :)
