That borders on TMI, but congratulations!!!

One of David's proposals (he proposed a few times, and still does, even tho we're already married!!) was via Skype-chat... i save the screen print of that was well!!

Does he know that his ####### is not public information? :P

he knows it's semi public information. it's not anywhere where our parents will read it! :P and it just wouldn't be like us if I hadn't posted it, it's a 'solid part' of the proposal I think

Life long Texan, living in Hull, UK. How did this happen?

11 January - We met online and became friends

4 February - Became a couple

17 March - I went to Hull to meet the guy

20 March - First "I love you"

25 March - I go home :(

16 November - He comes to visit me in Texas

25 November - he leaves back home :(

14 December - ENGAGED! <3

1 March- I fly off to see my babe in Hull

4 April - I go home :(

9 October - He comes back to Texas!!!!

13 October - WEDDING!!!

22 October - He goes back to England and I continue to wait for my settlement visa.

13 December 2007 - Move to England

Now the wait begins, I will become a citizen then we will DFC back to the US.

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

I'm confused, you are already doing the process? Why are you on the boards if you are not doing anything for 3 years?

Proposing over IM is a new one for me.

Could it be she's gathering information?

Does it really matter HOW the proposal was given? My husband proposed over the phone and it was still pretty darn special to me. :)

Vicky's been a member here for a long time and a lot of us know her. I'll leave it up to her to tell her backstory to those of you who are newer. But suffice it to say this is VERY good news to a lot of us and we couldn't be happier for her!

There are lots of people on VJ who are not actively in the immigration process yet, but can still learn a lot of info for when they are. Nothing strange about that.

Congrats Vicky!

you can look at my timeline if you like, I've been around for a while. I still help people with K3 info about Romania. most already knew about my seperation and divorce. I made alot of friends here, am I not allowed to share my good news with them? :(

it means the world to me that Jonny DID propose, no matter how he did it, he did it. We do everything else via IM, it only seemed natural to us. I don't give a ###### what anyone says about that, it made me the happiest I had ever been. Anton proposed in person and look how that turned out.

heh, even Anton was delighted to hear the news.

So am I unwelcome here? Was my good news just not good enough and I should leave untill it's DCF time?

You are not unwelcome here. There is a more diverse group of posters on OT than before and reactions to pretty much anything are now much more diverse than they were before. That's both good and bad. In this thread, you saw an example of the bad.
