EAD Renewal: How to expedite the process?

Hello Everybody!

I need to renew my EAD, it expires in 2 weeks, I applied for renewal in late September (now I know I should have applied in August/July). Can you tell me what is the efficient way to expedite the processing? My current case status is "Initial review". I have already placed an expedite request and got a ticket number, also emailed congressman and senators.

I am thinking about sending a fax and an email to the USCIS (specifically, National Benefit Center, where my I-765 case is processed). Could you tell me their fax number and email?

You can read USCIS' expedite criteria here: http://www.uscis.gov/forms/expedite-criteria

Unless you qualify for at least one of those then you probably won't be getting an expedite; "I forgot to do it earlier" is not a valid reason. USCIS recommends filing for a replacement EAD 120 days before your present card expires.

There is no publicly accessible fax number or email address available for the NBC. You would need to either contact USCIS through their standard phone number or write to them.

You would need to go through the standard expedite process and procedures, as found on the link Hypnos posted. Here is the NBC info anyway though:

so, you have the receipt notice for the EAD application, right?

Call into USCIS, get a Tier 2 Human, and explain your situation. If you have the biometrics letter, go do a walk-in at an ASC, as well, or beg a guard to let you in, showing a copy of the EAD receipt notice.

The Tier 2 Human will tell you exactly what you need to do, to expedite the EAD. Expedite reasons are DIFFERENT for the EAD than for a petition, so bear that in mind..

I am expecting you to write back NOW, telling us what you learned from the phone call into a Tier 2 Human.
