It means your cheque bounced for your I-130 filing fee. Sounds like you're about to get a letter asking for you to pay.

Your check did not clear, which means you didn't have enough money in the bank to cover the check. I would suggest sending back a money order instead of a check. Im not sure about the government but most places make you pay an additional fee if you bounce a check.... hope you are able to get it all figured out.

This is just the default state a petition starts in before they decide if it's been properly filed (correct forms sent, payment made etc.).

Judging by your other post - we already know that it has NOT been properly filed (because you haven't paid for it yet, your check bounced) and they're sending you a letter asking you to pay the petition filing fee.

Hi, this happened to us too.

You'll get an NOA informing you that you'll receive an invoice.

Then you'll receive the invoice. You can send the remittance slip back to the address printed on it with a money order or a check. There is also the option to pay by card over the phone which is what we did.

If you don't pay within 14 days of the invoice date (bear in mind it'll take 3 - 7 days to even reach you in the first place), your petition will be rejected and mailed back to you, meaning you'll need to start over.

Also forgot to mention there will be a $30.00 bounced check fee you'll have to give them too on top of the $420.00 for the petition.

i did pay the free it has been over month since we got anoa 1 please and my case from initial review go back to acceptance would any one can explain please

Your two other threads are about how your cheque bounced. You'll get a letter asking you to pay (send a new chque, make sure you have enough in your account this time). It'll then take many months for approval.

If your bank account shows payment, then you can return proof of that when you get the letter requesting correct payment, I imagine.
