Hello everyone!

So the US Embassy manila finally replied to my queries about my case if they have received it or not. and they replied and I quote:

"We received the electronic records from the State Department’s National Visa Center on October 4, 2013. Once we receive the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services-approved visa petition, we will send the applicant instructions regarding scheduling a visa interview appointment.

Please be aware that we do not encourage applicants to schedule an appointment until they have been notified of their eligibility."

so my question is, did anyone in VJ receive a letter like mine and after receiving this letter how many weeks till they get the letter of eligibility via e-mail or mail perhaps?

It has been exactly 26 days since they got the electronic records..does it really take that long for the documents to arrive in their hands?

Thank you everyone! Have a great and awesome day! :-)

I hate to tell you this but very few ever receive the eligibility letter from the embassy... for sure don't sit around waiting for the mail.... come now it's PhilPost .... nothing about rain, sleet or snow... simply put.. everything stops the mail when it's PhilPost... rofl.gif

If you have your MNL # and you have been sitting and waiting for almost a month... well you have been burning a lot of daylight!

Time to ROCK 'N' ROLL!!

Hi there,

I am in the same situation right now. My fiance has received the letter in October 30 that the petition will forwarded to US Embassy Manila. Up until now we have not received the letter from the embassy. The status of our case in CEAC is "Ready". Is the letter from the embassy sent through a courier or via regular mail?

We don't know if we should wait for the letter or not.

@team ali+jc - did you wait for the letter or did you proceed with scheduling the interview?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Go to hank's link and get the IV unit's contact number and call them to verify if the physical files have been received by Manila USEM.

I just did my interview yesterday without that eligibility letter. They didn't even look for it. Go to HANK's guide and do what it says :) You'll be fine.

For sure DO NOT wait for any letter from the embassy...they rarely arrive, plus you don't need it.

Everything is online....

Follow the flashing arrow... get your interview scheduled !

Had my interview last August without it and flew here. Until now never heard from my relatives in the Philippines that they receive any documents from USEM.

As what Hank said start to Rock N' Roll as soon you have your Manila Case #.

Good luck!!!!
