Hi

I thought I might share our visa journey as we have a few interesting factors. We just received our NOA 1 today for our I-130.

We are a gay couple recently married. I am South African and my partner is obviously American. We are resident in New Zealand.

I am interested to see how this unfolds as I have to get my papers from South Africa and my hubby has to prove is intention to reestablish residency in the US and we will be needing his dad to co-sponsor.

Other than that I think it is a relatively straightforward case. I have found a wealth of information on this site and will add any experiences/complications we encounter.

No, still waiting for NOA2. Then it'll be about 3 to 5 months by the time I am scheduled for interview, medical etc and then finally able to travel. So each month that passes we know we add about 5 months to it. For example even if I got NOA2 tomorrow, I'd prob fly out end of March if all goes well. WAAH, that's the hardest part.
