Well I sent my application via Priority Mail on the 6th. It was supposed to get delivered on the 9th. Today is the 13th and the tracking has not updated. I emailed USPS and I tried calling them this morning, after being on hold I had to hang up because I was going to be late to work. This is a bit frustrating.

By the way received the NOA dated for 11/04, thus changing the timeline.

Got SMS and email today about the fingerprint notice being sent.

Don't worry if have to move, just update the new address in the system and also call.

Many of my friends moved during the N400 process and received all the mail without a glitch, though exceptions are there.

Again it will, so don't worry. It is not going anywhere.

I dont understand what does a few days here and there would matter. Since we have been waiting a long time to this point. Eventually 99.89% of N400 applicants naturalize. In fact amongst the total applicants few are denied, which can still be overturned by an immigration court. This is USCIS statistics. Patience is a virtue.

No, I understand but what I'm worried about is the application getting lost since it hasn't been delivered yet and the postal service hasn't updated my tracking. That would really suck..big time.

USPS is slow, that why always use UPS/FEDEX for documents.

True. I thought about sending it via UPS but decided to just send it to the PO Box. I still had some faith in the USPS and their 2-day priority service.

I just realized that I did screw up, I didn't include Form G-1145. For some reason when I read the instructions I thought it meant something else :/

As far as I can see, this means I have to wait to get the actual notice in the mail, right?

Yes, you'll just get it in the mail. It will take a few days longer but it will still get to you!

I didn't use any kind of trackable mail because I did not want to go to the website and track it and see it delivered/not delivered and get frustrated with that part. I just put the whole envelope in regular priority mail and if the check doesn't clear in a reasonable amount of time, I'll send my other copy in with another check. :)

Oh wow! I couldn't do that, I love tracking stuff but then again, it's driving me nuts right now! I was able to talk to a USPS rep and she opened a case for me. They will contact the Phoenix Sorting Facility etc, and they will call me back. I actually sent a money order because both my husband and I don't like having extra money in the account knowing we don't actually count with it. I know it's sound petty but that's why we sent a money order instead.

Does any one know at what point they cash your check? I know it is non refundable. So im just wondering if you get denied or if something else is needed for your packet after it is cashed, can you just resubmit your packet without paying again? Any one know how this works?
