It's great to see all these passports coming in - congrats.

To the rest of you waiting for interviews or oath ceremonies, I know it's incredibly hard, as someone who has full on freaked out more than once over the years, especially over the last few months. Hang in there.

Sol's naturalization certificate came back today, it was sent priority mail, so three days after the passport. Still awaiting the passport card, which is sent regular first class. Maybe next week.

Got my oath letter today just 10 days after my interview! Wow, that was quick for Salt Lake City office. It usually take about a month. Yay! I'm almost there.

Is Portland Oregon the slowest field office in the nation?

I have been placed in line for scheduling since December 2d 2013. Received yellow letter in the mail on January 8th 2013 with instructions on what to bring at interview. Since then I haven't heard back from them. Called the USCIS office . They told me that My field office is currently processing the July 2013 files. This is very frustrating.

any advice? Anybody in similar boat? will infos pass appointment make any difference?

That's completely mad. It almost makes me less angry that the mayor held up some Pittsburgh naturalization ceremonies for ~6 weeks so that he'd have enough people/diversity for his photo opp. Almost. :rolleyes:

I hope you both get some good news soon. 7 months for an interview seems insane. What, they have no staff in Portland? Very odd.

Still in queue since 03/17, I called them today talked to a tier-2 and got basically nothing, wait.

I can't believe that a name change can take so long.

We were in the oath queue for 39 days without a name change. You're at 38 days today. Just sayin'....

I can't believe that a name change can take so long.

Hey me too! I got interviewed and passed last 02/12/2014 but until now I dont have any update yet, not even a "in queue" letter. I tried to request an infopass but they said I am still in the processing period of 6 months. It is very frustrating. I had a name change, coz I followed my customary change of using my maiden name as my middle name and legally use my hubby's last name. Its ridiculous coz SSA had approved it when I got married 4 years ago.

Well, what else can I do? Nothing. I guess I will just have to wait like I always do. Still lucky to be where I am now, that's for sure ;)

Had my Oath today. Nice ceremony. The congressman spoke. Got the certificate and name change doc. Went straight to Social Security office, updated my info because of name change they will send a new card. Then went to passport office and applied for a passport.

End of immigration for me, Hurray.

Had my Oath today. Nice ceremony. The congressman spoke. Got the certificate and name change doc. Went straight to Social Security office, updated my info because of name change they will send a new card. Then went to passport office and applied for a passport.

End of immigration for me, Hurray.

Congrats. Couldn't figure out who you were until I checked your name history. ;-).

You've still got a passport to get, right? ;-)

True, I have applied for the Passport today, which should be coming in next 2 weeks I hope.

Then go to the DMV once they send me the new SSN.

Cause here in Florida they ask for the SSN with the updated correct name to issue the DL.

Stressed since i do not have neither the Naturalization certificate nor the GC. Feeling naked without them somehow.

Yeah, we weren't too happy about sending off the naturalization certificate either. We did the expedited passport so it would all be out of our hands for a shorter time. Also applied for the passport card as well as the book, since that can be used to get another passport, should the passport ever be lost, and the naturalization certificate can continue to live in the safe deposit box at the bank....
