Finally got the email scheduling for the oath ceremony - 'On March 14, 2014, we scheduled you for your oath ceremony and sent a notice providing the date, time, and location.' etc. Awaiting the arrival of the letter now.

Still no news about my Oath ceremony. It is very frustrating

Now, I know that if you did or requested a name change, it will take probably longer. That is the only explanation why you have not received oath letter yet.

Congrats on getting the oath schedule Jon and Sol.

Just out of interest, where is the ceremony being held? Is it in the USCIS office in Pittsburgh?

Thanks. It's actually at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall in Oakland, a few blocks from where I went to law school. Already booked at the Hilton for Thursday night so we can just walk there - don't want to be doing a 90 minute drive in the morning and stressing.

I went to the field office (Portland, OR) today because I made an infopass appointment. I came out with more confusion than answers. I've been placed in line for interview since December 2 2013. The officer told me that Portland is experiencing a very unsual very high volume applications. There are thousands others in front of me. Per her estimation I may be interviewed late July or early September. As is now, I need to give them another 2 months. If I d8nt hear from them, make another infopass appointment.

It's so frustrating when I read how other November filers are already sniffing their beautiful blue passports and some of us are stuck in line.

That's very odd, and potentially incorrect since:

a) It's rare to see interviews scheduled (not interview dates themselves) more than 90 days after completing interviews. Yours appears to be outside that window and

b) The current processing time for your field office is stated by USCIS themselves as August 8, 2013 (see below). Given that this information is over one month old and that USCIS estimates are notoriously conservative and that Portland is not overly our of synch with other local office processing times across the country, I would try to get some more information from another source

I think same thing going on with Atlanta Office as well. However I see many people from Atlanta have already been done with this process. May be I am the only one whose file is stuck and wont move forward for an interview date. Been in line since Dec 27th.

I went to the field office (Portland, OR) today because I made an infopass appointment. I came out with more confusion than answers. I've been placed in line for interview since December 2 2013. The officer told me that Portland is experiencing a very unsual very high volume applications. There are thousands others in front of me. Per her estimation I may be interviewed late July or early September. As is now, I need to give them another 2 months. If I d8nt hear from them, make another infopass appointment.
It's so frustrating when I read how other November filers are already sniffing their beautiful blue passports and some of us are stuck in line.

This really sucks.

In both of these cases of extreme delay, my suggestion would be to write to the local office, attention: floor supervisor. Similarly, if you make an(other) Infopass, insist on speaking to the floor supervisor.

Still no news about my Oath ceremony. It is very frustrating

ravi_niu i can see we both have almost the same timeline for citizenship and we have the same field office. did you get any updates yet for oath schedule? i did not get any notification for que yet. i so wanted to get an infopass if i dont hear anything by the end of March. i think they are delayed. my interview with the IO last 02-12 was so slow and it took him at least an hour to interview and review each of his assigned applicants. he approved my application and gave me the paper though but until now no news. so frustrating :(
