Look good, except they will want to see a complete tax return copy, not just the 1040. Otherwise, very nice.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Consider getting tax transcripts - this proves that IRS has received your tax return. It's free to get and doesn't usually take long to arrive.

Also has any of you been to the doctor already? If you are covered in each other's insurance, you should be able to get a copy of the claims processed under both names under the same insurance plan. And throw in the HIPAA release forms - I assume you would list each other down for medical record release authorization.

Otherwise, your evidence look pretty solid :)

ROC Journey:

4/24/13 - Submitted I-751 application

4/26/13 - I-751 officially filed

6/11/13 - Biometrics done

8/14/13 - Rec'd RFE

9/21/13 - Submitted RFE response

9/23/13 - RFE response rec'd at VSC

(about 2 months later)

11/21/13 - Service request via Tier 1 submitted

12/11/13 - Response to service request rec'd - vague info about processing times

12/12/13 - Service request via Tier 2 submitted

12/10/13 - APPROVED!!! (letter rec'd 12/14/13)

12/16/13 - 2nd Service request response rec'd

12/17/13 - Card production email/text rec'd (online case updated)!

12/24/13 - Notification rec'd via email regarding card mailed on 12/23/13 (online case updated as well)

12/26/13 - 10-yr card rec'd!

One thing I have learned on this journey:

There is no such thing as an "overkill" evidence package. Submit anything and everything you can. Who knows what will prevent you from getting an RFE.

You have more than good evidence - don't overload any further.

Yes, if possible get IRS Tax Transcripts (can get in a week) - those are better than your complete tax returns.

USA

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11
10/30/11 - POE - Houston, TX

Chennai Consulate (40 days)
10/28/11 - Received Visa papers and Passport at VFS
10/25/11 - Interview Cleared Successfully (Spouse was not allowed in)

NVC: (90 days from NOA2 to Consulate)
08/31/11 - Case Completed (Interview 10/25/11) - Received at Chennai on 09/19/11
07/22/11 - NVC Case Number

USCIS: (92 days)

6/21/11 - NOA2 (NOA1 on 3/25/11) - took a month to get to NVC
3/21/11 - I-130 sent to USCIS Lockbox, Chicago.

I was able to add my husband and my step kids to my work life insurance and other insurance plans as beneficiaries.

I have listed my step kids as each 20% and my husband as 60%. Does that sound good or should I just have my husband only in there?

I care for my step kids this is why I think they should be listed in there. My step kids are living with us.

I think it's fine, but that's just my opinion. I say that because your step kids are also your family from your husband and I see it as one of the same but others may not agree (whether they are adult kids vs younger kids who still need guardianship).

Personally,I think your evidences look really good so the beneficiary stuff will probably be secondary and shouldn't be a cause for concern :)

I think you have more than enough. I had way less than you(I had IRS transcripts though) and thankfully went through the removal of conditions with no hitch.

Good luck!

The only thing I would add is make sure your statements cover the entirety of the last two years, hopefully you even have stuff from late 2011. The one common RFE seems to be people who have lots of evidence but only send the last statements from right before hey filed. They want to see evidence covering the last two years, something like quarterly is usually good enough, it does not have to be monthly.

Yeah that's the only issue that we do have. We don't have any 2011, since I still had my German Bank Account in Germany.

We got married 11/03/2011 ~ Happy Anniversary to us :) and PCS' ed to the US in Feb. 2012. We opened the Bank Account in March 2012 and closed it out in October 2012 and then we opened the new one.

I do only have like one or two letter or statements from the old account and everything else from the new.

It will be o.k. I guess.

Do I need to add a passport picture?

PCS= Permanent Change of Station? So you are military? Military tend to have a much easier time.

The first rule is send what you have. And one piece of evidence does not have to cover the entire two years but you should have evidence that covers the entire two years. In other words, if your bank statements don't cover late 2011, early 2012. Does something else? Do you have your dependent military ID's issued right after you are married. Do you have your orders form your PCS?

Your evidence as originally listed is pretty solid. Send what you have. The fact that the military recognizes your marriage means the USCIS will likely as well.
