How we get the case number by letter or calling?

I think I'm gonna calm down a bit and not ring until at least the end of next week, maybe the week after. I rang this morning and the guy said it had reached the NVC but he sounded a bit unsure. He said it hadn't been assigned a case number yet. I rang a few minutes ago to double check because it was nagging at me, and the lady said it hadn't reached the NVC yet and it was too early to be calling. I got my hopes up but I'm gonna put it to one side for now and just concentrate on getting my other stuff together (I-134, birth certificate etc).

Good luck to everyone :)

We got approved Oct 17. I called nvc. Today. They told me wait for 8 weeks from date of approval then call back. The guy was boarder line rude. He didn't say anything out of line. Just his tone. was tempted to remind him where Hus paycheak comes from but I just said thank you lol.

CSC-NVC is taking 30ish-40ish days on average now. NVC's rude employees are legendary (although personally I've never experienced one - lucky me) but I've heard DOS (202 485 7600) is nicer so you can try calling there instead. Hope you get your case number soon!

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

I was approved on Oct 2 and they still haven't received my file yet. I think it will be there within this couple of days because the NOA2s from CSC a week before mine have already gotten their case numbers...

Oh and I called DoS. Very nice and polite. No waiting time all!

+1 202 485 7600 once you get through, immediately press 1 then 0 to be connected to a person! :D
