Hello All,

I'm in an interesting situation. I'm in the US Navy, stationed in Japan and my Fiancee' is in Russia and she has her interview on 31 Jan 07'. I thought I was going back to the U.S. after Japan but I just recieved my orders and I'll be heading to Korea. I've talked with legal and they said that the Fiancee' Visa would still be ok since I'll be on a base there, but that there would be some other things that may take some time. We want to get married in the U.S. and there's no problem with that, but what concerns me is what to do after? How to get her permission to leave the U.S. and come live with me in Korea? I guess that she'd need her green card first but I'm not sure where to begin researching for this case. Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks,

John

You would file for advance parole for the time of the Adjustment of Status. AP will allow her to be with you in South Korea while waiting for the Green Card interview.

Application for Travel Document

You should be able to set the AOS interview at the location in South Korea (Green card interview)

THANK YOU!!!! And wow... that was fast. :D

I may have just signed up on these forums, but I wanted to say to all who read this, thank you for all your help. I've been trolling here for a while learning all I can about the process and used the K-1 Guide extensivly for preparing the Application. I was going to hire a lawyer, but after finding this site, we decided not to.

Thanks,

John
