Hi everyone,

I'm sort of panicking a bit... I've just looked up some information that I need for drivers license and for AOS etc... and the I-94 is something that appears everywhere, but it doesn't look like I have one? When I came through POE, I handed over my sealed envelope, gave my fingerprints, handed in my customs form, have the photo taken with the webcam-looking thing, and then the officer stamped my passport and wrote in it. The whole process took around 5 minutes...

Should I have received an I-94? Does my stamped passport with the VISA inside count as the same thing? As far as I can tell, the I-94 is to state admittance with an expiry date, and that is evident on the stamp in my passport.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

David

You print it out now if you entered at an airport. www.cbp.gov/i94

It's no longer a manual paper form filled out. All automated.

Although, that link seems to have provided me all the info for I-94 :-)

The I-94 went electronic around the first of June anybody entering the US after that date does not receive an I-94 nor do the flight attendants run up and down the aisles going "USC or visitor", "USC or visitor", "USC or visitor" and hand out the I-94 to all visitors. All they do now is handout the customs declaration form which every family must complete. Follow the link posted by Nich-Nick to get a copy of your I-94.

Again, you guys are talking about different things. The paper they took was the customs declaration, which everybody entering the U.S. has to fill out and they take, before, and now. The thing you have stapled to your passport is the I-94. Since May of this year, they don't give paper I-94s anymore.

It was already answered in this thread what to do. They are now automated and you get your I-94 online now. They no longer staple a paper one in your passport. This site is where you get your I-94 info after entering > https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html

POE Update

There has been a change regarding the I-94, you are no longer given this form during the flight to complete and turn in at Immigrations (POE). Immigrations now stamps your passport and the I-94 is done electronically.

For you to get a copy of the I-94 for future requirements go this this website:

http://cbp.gov/linkhandler/cgov/newsroom/fact_sheets/travel/i94_factsheet.ctt/i94_factsheet.pdf

http://cbp.gov/xp/cgov/travel/id_visa/i-94_instructions/

I have my I-94 in my front right now, it is the small paper from the plane that u need to fill up before you go through the immigration.. they attached that to your passport nxt to your visa.. NOT any more... that is the old way.
