I got this message on my status case, the application was recieved on 15 august 2013, Can anyone explain to me what's that mean Please???

Afraid it doesn't mean much. Just means your application has been "touched". I think this happens to everyone.

Everyone gets an alien number after sending the petition. As an update it isn't much, just something that happens to everyone.

I got mines almost right away and here we are, waiting...

Bad news: In general, nothing is going to happen . Good news: They already assigned the beneficiary an alien registration number which is you can see later on your NOA-2 hardcopy. Good luck!

PS: Each applicant is different. My fiance and I have got approval of our I-129F a few weeks after I was assigned to an alien registration number. Some others are not.

It doesn't mean anything important, you don t have to do anything, just wait.

For a lot of people it means nothing. Here is my experience with it:

August 22nd, 2013: NOA1

October 7th, 2013: Address has been updated for petitioner. (I sent in a request to change my address as I had moved and received these two case updates with in a few hours of each other.)

October 7th, 2013: Updated Alien registration number.

3 Week Government Shutdown.

October 26th, 2013: Updated Alien registration number.

October 28th, 2013: NOA2 Approval - Waiting on hardcopy.

All of this happened at the Texas Service Center.

For me and potentially other August filers who ended up with the Texas Service Center it looks like these happen shortly before approval.
