So as i understand we all need to pay $165 for GC.. Cn u pls suggest me How we have to pay as I havent received any notice regarding this payment. although in DS 260 we hv the address n everything where it has to deliver but nothing related to payment??

Too soon for you. The instructions will be in the loose collection of papers attached to the outside of the sealed envelope, given after interview day.

Thanks Darnell, Apple21 - My sister and her husband will have biometric done here before they issue the Green Card. We do not have to pay any fee because we already paid with the Visa Fee of $400. Darnell - you were right and I do appreciate the response the way it should have been from the beginning. As we all know the fee $165 but our case was little different. Thanks again !!!!!!!!!

1. IV fee of 230 or

2. IV inteview after 1 FEB 2013.

Hello! Billyk! It's great that they'll be getting their green card.

May I know what you did to solve the problem? I have read that calling the USCIS didn't work.

We are on the same issue as what your brother and sister have experienced, my mom was petitioned by her sister way back on 1990, my auntie paid for $400 on 2010, then NVC sent the papers to Manila US Embassy on October 2013, and now we're 2 months here on California but still no green card.

Did they pay the immigrant fee of $165 per person?

No, we didn't pay it knowing that we paid $400.

Initially it was only us three (my mother, my sister and I) who was going in the US. My aunt paid for $400 on 2010 but my papa decided to go with us too and had his paper submitted in April 2011. My aunt was surprised because the IV fee went down to $230 from $400 on 2010.

The $400 is for the immigrant VISA fee. The $165 is a separate payment for the GC production.

ya - when it was 400 - that included green-card production .

since these folksen seem 'grandfathered' with the old system - if 2 or 3 months have passed since entering the USA - is best to chase down the green card stuff

with an ISO, a Tier 2 Rep, with USCIS, via telephone.

thanks apple21 for the response! yeah, we've already read that it's USCIS who'll use the $165 but I read the posts here and found out that we had the same issue with Billyk's case. Edited by jog3

Hhhmmm, an infopass should do the trick https://infopass.uscis.gov

Better to speak face-to-face with an IO.

thanks Darnell for the info! I agree with you.

Sorry to ask but I don't know what ISO and Tier 2 mean?

And about the call to USCIS, I had read that Billyk have done that but it was fruitless. I'm wondering how she solved this issue.
