 Hi, friends, this is my first time here. My story goes like this:

I was engaged to a guy who was a canadian citizen. I filed the K1 visa for him as he was my Fiance. We went through the whole process and he got his interview date. But on the interview day, he didnt get the visa. (he told me that the officials denied him the visa as there was something wrong with the fingerprints, therefore he has to get some kind of security clearance). I know this is true, cus i accompanied him to this interview and he came out with that paperwork. After that, I came back to US and kept on contacting him on the phone and internet. But started sensing that he was loosing interest in me. Suddenly one day, he broke the engagement (it wasnt sudden as we didnt get along and had fights all the time). When he broke the engagement, he said he has cancelled the visa and dosent want to come to US. I said OK and didnt do anything about it. ( I was young and naive and made one mistake, didnt keep a record the paperwork and didnt cancel the petition myself, just believed he did it). Now after 2 years, i got married to this wonderful guy who is awesome and have applied for him. I have filed the 1130 and 1129F.

My question is:

1) I did mention in the paperwork that I have filed for Fiance visa before but dont know the status, it was abandoned.

2) Do you guys think that this would create any problem with my current situation.

I am being very honest with the Immigration officials and am not keeping anything from them. I just hope my past will not create a problem for my future. CAN ANYONE OF YOU HELP??????

Other people have been inyour situation before and had no problems... It might be a bit different had you filed immediately after the last one but 2 years and getting to know someone etc, these things happen...

I might suggest talking to a immgration attorney, just to help settle any legal questions about your previous petition.

good luck.

As long as you are honest about it, hopefully you'll be okay :) Even if he somehow did finish the K1 and enter the U.S., he would have been out of status after not marrying within 90 days.
