New...with a question re: Ukrainian birth certificate

Hi All,

Brand new here. We're filling out the i-130 and 325a forms. My wife was born in Ukraine in the 1980's. But...it wasn't Ukraine back then.

Her birth certificate says УРСР which apparently stands for: Ukrainian Republic of Soviet Republics. So the question is:

What country was she (and her parents) born in?

I'm curious what others have put in the same situation. I lean towards putting UKRAINE/USSR

My wife was born in 78 and I think her birth certificate says CCCP (USSR). Either way, if you translate it as you did here it should work and they won't question it.
