Is there any rule about Joint Sponsor for K1 visa? My fiancee was denied twice bcuz of income issue. My dad is the Joint Sponsor but has only 35 grands (Mom and sister are in the household) The reason of denial this time was that there were not enough evidence to show that my fiancee will not become a public charge when she is over here. Anyone out there have the same issue as I? Please help.

The rule is that your cosponsor must have enough money to support you (the USC), your fiance (the beneficiary), plus himself and whomever is in his household. So, in this case it looks like 5 people. The level of support is based on the poverty level, some Embassies want to see that the sponsor has 100% of the poverty level, others was 125%, so ask your embassy. (The 125% level will HAVE to be used at a later stage in the AOS processes). I'm not familiar with your embassy so I would ask this question over in the Embassy forum to hopefully get a better response.

There are only 3 member in my household, my income of last year was 11 G, that makes 4 people include my fiancee. The Vietnam Consulates are very strict about K-1. They dig and find minor issue to deny you always.

What exactly does the green 221(g) denial says? If your statements about your father's income is correct, the HCMC consulate should not have denied you. Something else is wrong.
