OK,

I got an email today from NVC checklist for my AOS form I-864EZ Part5, No. 19. Most recent tax return.

Here's the highlist:

_______income indicated on the I-864EZ Part 19 does not correspond to that shown on the most recent

tax return and W-2(s).

I filed jointly with my hubby and using only my own income since my income qualified to petition one person.

Now what I put on Part 5, no. 19 on most recent was the number on my W2 2012.

Should I put the total amount from ITR 2012 including my huband 's income?

I didn't put the total in our ITR 2013 since I am only using my own income so I put only my income on what is listed on W2.

Which one should I put the one in W2 2012 or the total on the ITR of 2012? which includes the income of my husband?

Please help me!

if this is the question that asks for TOTAL income.. then yes they do want the entire amount for both you and your hubb.. i messed up on that quesiton too and it was a big mess figuring out what they wanted because we filed jointly as well

Hi Paps 5R,

I got the same letter as you did and have exactly the same situation where I am using only my income to establish financial support for my mom but my taxes are filed jointly with my husband.

Since your case been already completed can you share what did you do to correct the i-864EZ? Did you put total income for both you and your husband as suggsted by another forumer?

Thank you in advance

Look at my timeline.

I corrected form I-864EZ by putting the total income from our Joint File Tax 1040 on line 22 and NVC accepted it.

Goodluck. My father is finally here with me.

Thank you guys! Yeah I used my total income from my W2 the first time and NVC didn't like it (I guess because it didn't match total income on the 1040?). So, I am going to go with line 22 on my 1040 this time.

Nevertheless, thank you both so much for help!

I got the same email yesterday asking me to re-submit the forms (Form I-864 for me and Form I-864A for hubby) because the amount written there did not match what was in the Federal ITR. What i did was to add my two W2s, and with hubby. I did not put the total income in the ITR because we filed jointly. I am confused until i read some of the posts here.
