Hi

I just got my 10 years GC this month straight without getting my conditional GC first because the approval came after our 3ed year anniversary.

Im i eligible for citizenship based on 3 years from getting married or i gotta wait 3 years from this month which is the month that i got my 10 years GC ???

3 years from the "resident since" date on your greencard.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

You are not eligible for US citizenship.

To get US citizenship based on marriage to a US citizen, you need to meet 3 requirements;

1. Be married to a USC, AND

2. Live with the USC spouse in the 3 years before filing to naturalize, AND

3. Be a green card holder in the 3 years before filing to naturalize.

You do not meet the 3rd requirement.

You have to be married to the same US citizen for 3 years, lived with the same US citizen for the past 3 years and importantly you have to be a for the past 3 years. USCIS actually gives you a break with a window that opens up 90 days before the 3 year anniversary. Good luck
