They are telling everyone that they are working on files from Oct 2012 and apparently it will take 11-16 months for approval

I will not let anyone walk through my mind with their dirty feet.

OUCH We told them in the I-130 that we would be adjusting status. Will that help speed up our process? I kinda expect them to transfer us to the California Service Ctr.

You do seem confused.

1. You have Adjustment of Status in your profile but are posting in the CR-1 visa section.

2. You have that you were already approved for a CR/1 visa in your timeline.

Are you the one that sent off a stand-alone I-130 so you can "start the AOS process?"

If so, I think we already explained that all this time will be completely wasted.

Once you send in your I-485 package they will pull the I-130 and match it up with your AOS. You will being a new processing time wait based on your I-485. The I-130 just goes along for the ride.

Even if you "tell them" you are doing AOS they will do nothing different with a stand-alone I-130. It will be processed like all stand-alone I-130s are.

As said before, you gain nothing by sending the I-130 now, and if you are going to file a I-485 in a few months, you will not gain any time or anything by sending the I-130 now. There is literally no point to looking for I-130 processing times if you are going to file I-485 in a few months. Your GC approval will be completely governed by the I-485.

I am not approved for anything as of yet. For some reason VJ put that in my timeline not me. I wrote them and they have not taken it off yet. Just sent the I-130 in and all I have is a receipt. I do regret not waiting to send the whole package at once. I am just getting nervous I guess as my wife has to leave the country Jan. 21 on her tourist visa. I made a mistake in sending in the I-130. I know I did not do myself any good to send it in now.

I just looked and they fixed it... No they did not fix it. Sorry.

reminder - file the I-485 plus all the rest of forms, when yer ready,

include a photocopy of the I-130 receipt notice, formletter I-797C.

That's it, really ! The stuff you listed in post #1 will not apply to your type of casefile, at all.
