Here in the United States YOU blame the gun for a shooting ... The match is to blame ?

No I don't. People who question the logic of having anyone and everyone swanning around city streets packing guns are not suggesting in any way,. shape or form that the guns are at fault for shootings. There is no connection between the two ideas. You think there is because you do not connect the dots yourself but rely on others to provide you with your talking points. Thus we get to this, you believe that I believe that guns are responsible for shootings. That's mad. The real logic is the numbers. In the US you guys shoot each other frequently and kill each other far more often than we do in the UK. Not by a small margin either, by a HUGE margin. You think that vicious, violent crime is rampant in the UK because there are no civiilans running around with short guns on the streets. There are not. There are a lot of crimes reported but a minority include actual violence and a smaller minority still include actual grevious bodily harm and an even tinier proportion of crimes are homicides. This crime was a particularly gristly homicide, no doubt about it and the perpetrators will be sent to prison for a long, long time if justice has its way, but it's unusual, extremely unusual.
