So she is trying to get to the roof.. Gets in the elevator, bends down to inspect the buttons "Which one do I press to get to the roof?" .. instead presses the "door hold" button at the bottom center or the "L" button (see pic of the actual elevator panel below).. Hiding because she is not staying at the hotel and not wanting security to see her.. Needs to go to the bathroom and is doing the pee-pee dance a bit.. finally gives up on the elevator and takes the stairs up to the roof.

ooh wait.. was she staying at the hotel? mmm.. always a hole I read somewhere she may have triggered an alarm when pressing the buttons in the elevator and was trying to figure out what to do...

She was staying on the 4th floor.

Also wanted to note. She was mental and had been on medication and had done strange things before like this. She wanted to stay at the motel because a musician she had a crush on was there.
