Called DOS on Friday 10/25 and they said our interview is this Friday, November 1. We still haven't received our Packet 4 letter though. Any thoughts on what we should do?

I am in the same situation, I had an email stating that our letter was posted to me and that My interview was set for 7th of November. No letter has arrived and i also found i couldn't pay fee's as we do not have a DS-160 number.

Anyone else here finding they are having difficulties due to the transition? If so have you found any way to be able to deal with this?

Can anyone tell me the DOS number there calling to get interview information? I haven't heard anything since my medical was sent off and I'm really looking for a quick interview as I have lots to lean for a February wedding. Eeekkkk I can't find any information online about contacting them.

Good luck with your interviews x

The DoS number is 202 485 7600. It seems that the average waiting time for an interview is approximately 4-5 weeks, that's what Embassy email replies usually say if you contact them. Hopefully they might be improving though.

When was your medical if you don't mind me asking?

Have you checked on CEAC to see if there are any updates to your case.

Then check my application status.

Good Luck

Thank you so much!! I just checked the status which I didn't even know you could check that! it says I'm ready for my interview. So now I guess it's just a waiting game. It says last updated october 25th.

Once you have your interview scheduled can you then try and reschedule it to an earlier one?

The medical was absolutely fine, I hate needles though so hated that part!

They do a chest X-ray which is really simple, then they check your shots etc and if you've had the flu jab if you have it there (which I did) it's £22. Boots also do it I believe for loads cheaper.

But other than that it was really simple and easy nothing to worry about.
