Any VJrs affected by the storm in UK last days? What about interview dates?

When I did a timeline search two days ago (wondering the same thing), there was only one VJ couple listed as interviewing today. Now I see three in my UK portal. My husband's nephew made it to Heathrow easily this morning for a noon flight to spend half-term with us. His dad said the sun was out at Heathrow and planes were departing when they arrived mid morning.

My husband had his interview this morning. He arrived from Glasgow yesterday without a problem. He dd say a tree had fallen by the embassy blocking off where folks were supposed to go in... but it didn't cause much of a time delay.

Euston train station was a madhouse - but he still got on a train to Glasgow - unfortunately lots of other stuff cancelled tday.

Regarding his interview... we ended up in AP because his medical info is being held by Knightsbridge until he has another eye exam (apparently he "failed" the one at his medical appointment last week). As soon as he does that (hopefully this week) Knightsbridge can send the info to the embassy and we can finally get approved. I didn't think poor eyesight could preclude him from getting a visa. He likely just needs a new prescription...cool.png Still, though... very annoying.

Agree, that's far from being funny when you are blocked at the finish line - just before the interview! Here in France it may take as much as 6 month to get a rendez-vous with your eye doctor!

By the way thanks that you reminded about the vision tests! I should not forget to bring my prescription (and may be glasses).

Hope your husband will get through this quickly :)
