It's exactly 9weeks since we received our NOA2 from USCIS. Till now we haven't received our case number and not even sure where our file is.

We call NVC and DOS everyday, they keep tossing us to each other.

Today we received a reply to an email we sent to NVC to inquire more, they wrote back saying ... (Thank you for your inquiry. The National Visa Center has not received your petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Please scan and email your I-797 or I-171 Notice of Action to nvcresearch@state.gov. Type the receipt number in the subject line of your email. We will contact USCIS on your behalf to find your petition.)

We don't know what to do again, so stressed up and discouraged. Please advice on what to do, calling is out of the advice.

Thanks for helping us figure things out.

I'd just do what they told you to do in the e-mail: scan your I-797 and give them your receipt number and see if they can retrieve your case or find out where it ended up. Unfortunately after sending the e-mail you're going to have to wait a bit more, but if there's no other way to contact them then that's pretty much all you can do.

Maybe you can find something useful on here: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=ddce0b89284a3210VgnVCM100000b92ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=ddce0b89284a3210VgnVCM100000b92ca60aRCRD

If it's of any help, it seems like cases are being sent out slowly especially if your case was at CSC...

We received the same reply from NVC. It's been a month since NOA2 and no case number yet. Those who were approved the same time with us got their case numbers and even scheduled their interview already:(

What?

1. calling is not to be part of the advice and

2. you won't do what the respondent mentioned (from nvcinquiry/research)

and now you are seeking 'more' advice?

Wow! and OK !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

What Darnell said. Why would you not take their advice and scan a copy of your I-797 like they advise, and then ask for further advice here? The directions in the letter are pretty cut and dry. Simply do what they told you to do!
