Hi everyone,

I had my medical in London and they told me that the embassy received my results on October 1st. However, I still haven't heard back from the embassy or received an interview date.

Is this normal or should I call the embassy?

How long does it usually take to get an interview after the medical?

Thanks!

We have the exact same circumstances as our medical was on 1 Oct. We got our interview letter after much frustration on Friday and our interview is on 8 Nov. Hopefully yours will come this week. You can use their contact email form to find out the status, but they take weeks to respond. London seems to be delayed with most cases with our timing, and it is no use calling if you know they already have your paperwork. Good luck!

Hi there

It seems London is backlogged still. I had my medical done on the 16th of September and the documents were all logged on the 20th. I got an update from CEAC last week on the 22/10 and called them to be told my interview was scheduled for the 1/11. They also told me that pkt 4 had been sent out that day but as of today I still haven't received it! Hang in there, it'll soon be over.good.gif It seems as if it's taking roughly 4-5 weeks to schedule an interview date.

Good Luck to you all!

If it's anything like the K-1 timeframe in London, you're looking at around 6 weeks right now.

Their twitter account says it's taking about 6 weeks from receiving the last bit of info (either form or medical results).

I would definitely be inclined to email them anyway to ensure they have full receipt of the forms and medical results. 3 weeks after my medical I was informed they were missing a form I had sent back in early September. Its 4-6 weeks from the point they have all your information which in my experience is not necessarily the date you think. the only secret is to aggressively chase them to get your way through this process, the time you are waiting could be wasted as they might still not be have logged all the forms or might have lost them like with my case ( and numerous others).

I was lucky, in that I squeaked through the crowd at the last second before all this traffic jam seems to have started. Although some others on here that I know had the same issues at the same time as me. It seems it's taking them a good 4-5 weeks before anyone is getting an interview date. Also, there was a glitch in the system in late august, which caused a LOT of people to only have SOME of their forms logged and it took weeks to relocate them. In my opinion, it seems that the interviews are scheduled willy nilly. One person might get it WAY before you, even though you were ahead of them in the process, while you could get it way before someone else. It's all who's at the top of the pile, really.

Think our forms arrived around the same time as yours, and they never relocated them (or told us they were lost until we got there - even confirming by email that they 'had everything') - we had to fill them in again in the waiting room!

Fun.

All's well that ends well though - mistakes will happen! Best advice, try not to obsess over dates if at all possible - will drive you nuts!
