I mailed my I-129F packet to USCIS on 9/27/2013.

I received my NOA1 in the mail on 10/4/2013.

I received my APPROVED NOA2 in the mail on 10/24/2013.

My application was approved in less than 1 month!!! And to think that I submitted mine during the US government shutdown... Yoohoo! dancin5hr.gif

I did not "overload" my application. These are the only evidences that I have submitted:

1. Evidences of having met in the last 2 years:

  • 10 photos of our trips and dates together in the Philippines
    • wrote the date and place at the back
  • photocopy of the pages in my passport with stamps of arrival/departure (SFO-MNL-SFO)
  • photocopy of our boarding passes to 1 of our vacation destinations

2. Evidences of on-going relationship:

  • 10 photos of the two of us together and with our families
    • wrote the date and place at the back
  • photocopy of the receipt for the engagement ring my fiance gave me
  • photocopy of my phone bill for the last 12 months (just the pages wherein his phone number -- which matches his phone number in the i-129 form -- is there)
    • highlighted his phone number

Good luck! I hope your application will also be approved quickly and without problems. smile.png

I took a couple of photos and that was it, never asked for anything else.

We only used passports stamps and photos. Never bothered with any secondary evidence. London Embassy will not be interested in it at the interview stage either..

I can only repeat what has been said above - USCIS want primary evidence that you've met in person and I would suggest secondary (comms) when the primary is a bit weak e.g evidence of only one visit.

Am I correct in thinking that my fiancé will also need police certificates from any country that she has lived in for more than 6 months in the last 10 years? I ask this, as we are keen to start applying, as she requires certificates from 3 different countries. Does anybody know what the accepted validity period of the certificates is? I am unsure as to whether it's 6 or 12 months - We don't want to apply too early, and risk them becoming invalid, but as I say, we are keen to get things in order! Thanks in advance, M & A :)

Thank you for the link - Very helpful! My fiancé is actually residing in Australia, and will be interviewed in Sydney, despite being a United Kingdom citizen. However, in this particular instance, the information appears to be the same from what I have read. I followed the additional link on the site, and it actually states that the UK certificate will be valid for 12 months, even though it's only stated 6 months on the certificate - Am I reading that correctly?

>>>

"Note: UK police certificates are valid for one (1) year only. All other foreign police certificates are valid indefinitely, unless the applicant has traveled to the country in the last year. Bearing in mind this information, applicants must ensure that a valid police certificate is presented at the time of their appointment.

Police Certificates for the United Kingdom: A visa applicant who has resided in the United Kingdom for 6 months or more since the age of 16, is required to obtain a police certificate from the ACPO Criminal Records Office (ACRO). Further information is available from their website at www.acro.police.uk. This police certificate will serve to advise the U.S. Embassy, London whether or not any criminal conviction is held against him/her. The police certificate will be sent to the applicant's address provided at the time of application. Please note that the Immigrant Visa Unit considers the police certificate valid for 12 months from the date of issuance, not six months as stated on the certificate. If the police certifiate states "No Trace" or "No Live Trace", please be prepared to discuss your arrests/cautions/convictions with the consular officer on the day of the interview. "
