Pick up at Loomis location or have it sent to address?

I know that there is an option to have the K1 visa sent to your home address after the interview for an extra fee. Has anyone done this? What are the pros/cons to this? I was considering having it sent to my home address but, as seems to always be the case in this process, I am paranoid. Is it "safer" to just pick it up at a Loomis location that is close by? Are there risks to having it mailed to home address?

Any thoughts, experiences with this please share!

It's $50 more to have delivered. What if they deliver when no one is home? Picking it up is easy.

The nearest pickup location is two hrs from me, so more gas money. I am just wondering what's the safest route. I am leaning more towards just going and picking it up despite the drive!

I'm pretty sure it's only $18 something plus taxes if you're having it shipped from a Loomis location in the same province as you. They also say they'll do two attempts at delivery and if you don't get it during one of those two times, it goes back to the store location. So if something comes up and you don't get it when they attempt to deliver it, it's not like it's lost forever...you just have to drive to pick it up. I'm sure it's safe either way, but whatever you feel comfortable with!

This is the page with all the info about sending it to a different address: https://usvisa-info.com/en-CA/selfservice/us_courier_information

I don't see why you couldn't have it sent to your work if you'll be there though!
