Hi guys. There's so much confusion surrounding the police check needed for packet 3 -- I've been reading forums all morning and I'm more confused than when I started! I called my local station today, and the constable informed me I needed to have special forms from the US for my fingerprints, as they go to the FBI? I don't think this sounds right.

So! What specific form do I need to complete? Is it just the AFP check found here http://www.afp.gov.au/what-we-do/police-checks/national-police-checks.aspx#fingerprints or is there another specific form I need to fill out? Do I recieve a copy to send with my packet?

A thousand apologies if this has been answered already, I'm just desperate for some clarification!!

Journey so far:

Hey flowershoes

I am from Qld and had got my police check done in September this year. All you need to do is go into a police station (I went to a HQ) and tell them that you need to have a 'police check with fingerprints' done. That's it. It costs $181.50. They don't do digital finger prints in Qld - you will have to get wet finger prints done. Whole process takes about 20 mins and they accept credit card/eft payments.

It took me just under 2 weeks to get the 'national certificate with fingerprints' back from QPS.

Have a happy day!
